Did this soon after the armorsmith pic. Maybe that's why it headed down the same path of blaaaaaaahhh! I started off somewhat enthusiastically then muddiness got to me and I just wanted to get it done with.

Erm... was supposed to be Ayreon fanart. Specifically for the album(s) The Final experiment. It's a metal opera about scientists from the 21st century(2084) who develop this computer program called 'Time telepathy'. By using this technique they send visions of humanities decline back in time. These 'visions' are recieved by the mind of a blind minstrel Ayreon in the 6th century. And thus Ayreon starts singing about these bleak visions and becomes an outcast etc etc.

I tried to make him look a bit like Arjen Lucassen (The guy behind the awesomeness that is Ayreon). If nothing else the hair sure resembles his... meh.

Edit: Decided to give this pic some limelight? (and put it in the gallery for a while?) I did like how the face/expression and general mood came out?

Maybe I just like blaaaaaaaahs because I love this one once more! X'D As much as the armoursmith pic. So much that this actually made me break my lazy commenting (or more like non-commenting!) streak to go squee over this!

And I don't even know a thing about Ayreon. :'D

Its basically the gloomy wooshy colors (or lack of them? :O_o: ) that make this look so good. Sort of... magical and 'end of the world-doom-gloom-destruction' at the same time? Add to that the gorgeous shades and light (miniature had destroyed all my perception of shadows and highlights! I envy you!) and I absolutely love this!

I seem to be going 'Wow!' like an idiot a lot at your scraps? X'D

Hey... was this your instrument player pic that you'd mentioned?

Yeah!!!! I love the melancholic look on his face. And the pose is very natural. I also like the out of focus background and the monochrome thing.

I'm not very much into Ayreon (still reminds me very much of my ex...) but they're pretty good.
